Cardinals Force Wolverines to Lift Their Arms and Scratch Their Heads!

It seems as if the battle between the Harlingen Cardinals and the P.S.J.A. (Pharr SanJuan Alamo) Wolverines was over before the warm up, much less match, even began. Listening to the pre-match conversations, we quote the Wolverines saying the following: " Holy Cow! We're gonna get killed!", "Man, that girl has an awesome serve", "Coach, there's no way we can beat them!"

The pre-match conversations on the Cardinal side went something like this: "Relax and play smart", "You're in great shape and you've put in the work, now it's time to put that work to use". It was

the difference between night and day...between black and white....between win and loss...between exaltation and bitter disappointment. Coach Tanamachi was encouraging yet tough, letting his players know that he had faith in them. At the same time, he let them know he had high expectations.

On the other side of the coin, the coach for the P.S.J.A. Wolverines huddled his team together before the match and asked them not to be too disappointed, not to hand their heads down too low. It was obvious the pre-match work had not been put it. When the matches started, it became even more obvious.

The Cardinals forced the Wolverines to lift their arms and scratch their heads in utter frustration as they knocked out win after win. The Cardinals would hand the Wolverines a unanimous loss across the board with a final victory of 19 to 0. All fingers seem to point at the Harlingen Hawks to be the only real threat to the Cardinal's undefeated reign. That match will be coming soon on October 11, 2008. Be there!
