Doubles - Where do I stand if my partner has a weak serve?
How not to be a target at the net.

You're up at the net and your partner misses most of their first
serves and offers up patty cake second serves that your opponents
fire down the line or right at your face...er....belly button.  What can
you do?
First, discuss the situation with your partner.  Communication
is crucial in doubles!

Second,  move back behind the baseline.  You will be susceptible
to the drop shot return of serve, so you will really need to look out for
that.  But, at least you will no longer be a target. Play percentage defense
and look for opportunities to attack once the point has begun.

Third, drive some of your return of serves down the line yourself.
Give them a taste of their own medicine.  It will keep the net person
honest (so they won't poach so much).
